I am a M.S. in Robotics (MSR) student in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), advised by Prof. Howie Choset at the Biorobotics Lab. I’m also working closely with Prof. Sebastian Scherer at the CMU AirLab. Before joining CMU, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHKSZ) in 2024, and I’m honored to be advised by Prof. Junhua Zhao.
My research interests lie in achieving robust robotic systems that enable long-term autonomous mobility and comprehensive environmental perception and understanding under challenging conditions, such as confined spaces, severe illumination changes, dynamic objects, etc. My current research focuses on Multi-sensor SLAM and Learning-based SLAM. In addition to localization, mapping, and perception algorithms, I am now also very interested in navigation and control for autonomous systems, and also the hardware prototype design.
Outside of research, I enjoy basketball, hiking and touring, race car, LEGO, PC games, and accompanying my fiancΓ©e Waiwai! Check out my misc page for more non-research stuff :)
